Your wedding day will go by so quickly, but the way it felt should stay with you forever. That’s what I love most about wedding films, they don’t just capture how everything looked, they bring back the emotion, the people, the voices, the nerves, the laughter and all the little moments in between.

My name is Chris Edwards, and I’m a Geelong wedding videographer creating heartfelt wedding films for couples across Geelong, the Surf Coast, Western Victoria and beyond. I’m a husband to my amazing wife Rhonda, a father of four boys, and a romantic at heart.

I’ve spent more than 20 years in the entertainment and wedding industry, originally as a bass player, which is where the name film BASS productions comes from. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to be part of so many wedding days, and that experience has taught me how important it is to read the room, stay calm, and capture moments without getting in the way.

I’ve always loved film, photography and the creative process of bringing a story together. Before moving into wedding films, I spent time creating stock footage, which taught me a huge amount about camera operation, editing, colour correction and colour grading. In that world, quality matters. If the footage isn’t strong, it simply doesn’t succeed.

Today, those skills help me create wedding films that are beautiful, natural and full of feeling. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive. I know most couples aren’t used to being filmed, so I do everything I can to make the experience feel easy, comfortable and genuine. My personal mantra is to make you love your wedding film before you even see it. To me, that means showing up with kindness, care, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to make your day better. It means being helpful when needed, calm when things get busy, and fully present for the moments that matter.

I really do love what I do. I love meeting couples, hearing their stories, and being trusted to capture one of the most meaningful days of their lives. My hope is that when you watch your wedding film, you don’t just remember how your day looked,  you remember exactly how it felt.
